Registration open for Attending to Early Modern Women

The Attending to Early Modern Women conference, which has been held seven times at the University of Maryland since 1990, has moved to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for its 2012 meeting! Conference dates are June 21-June 23, 2012, and registration is now open. The conference coordinators advise that registration is limited to 250 people, so sign up early to guarantee your spot. This year’s theme is “Remapping Routes and Spaces.”

“The conference will retain its innovative format, using a workshop model for most of its sessions to promote dialogue, augmented by a plenary session on each of the four conference topics: communities, environments, exchanges, and pedagogies. It will be held at the UWM School of Continuing Education Conference Center in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.” The keynote speaker will be Valerie Traub, Professor of English and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan, known for her innovative work in early modern cultural studies, gender studies, and queer studies.
